Maria Farida ties the knot

KUALA LUMPUR: After 10 years of being single, actress Maria Farida ties the knot with a 62-year-old entrepreneur, only known as Datuk Rahman.

This happy news was shared by fellow actress and friend Fasha Sandha who took to her Instagram account uploading photos of Maria's solemnisation ceremony, held today.

The photographs Fasha posted, with the hashtag #kisahcintamariarahman, feature the bride and her friends. Among them is actress and producer Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina.

Maria, 45, since then had uploaded a picture of herself in her wedding dress, and one of her and Rahman seated on the bridal dais (pelamin).

Maria was earlier embroiled in a controversy when she was accused of stealing Rahman from his ex-wife and her good friend, known as Karen Rahman, the founder of beauty product KR Beauty Care.

To clear the waters, the actress has explained to an entertainment portal that she only began a relationship with Rahman after he and Karen had ended their marriage last August.

Maria was supposed to be Karen’s product ambassador, but pulled out from the contract when the latter failed to pay for her involvement.

Prior to marrying Rahman, Maria had dated actor Shah Jaszle.

Maria, who had starred in TV series Bisikan Cinta and Dhia Sofea, has an 18-year-old son from a previous marriage.
