Maybank establishes RM10 bil commercial paper/medium-term note programme

KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has established commercial paper/medium-term note programme (CP/MTN Programme) up to RM10 billion in nominal value.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Maybank said Maybank Investment Bank Bhd (Maybank IB) had, on November 22, 2016, lodged all required information and relevant documents related to the CP/MTN Programme with the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC).

The programme allowed Maybank the flexibility to raise funds to be utilised to fund its working capital, general banking and other corporate purposes, from time to time.

“A short-term rating of P1 and a long-term rating of AAA by RAM Rating Services Bhd has been assigned for the programme,” it said.

Maybank IB is the principal adviser, lead arranger and manager and, book runner for the programme. -- Bernama
