KOTA BARU: The three tahfiz students and teacher who were involved in Friday’s horror accident at Kampung Telekong near Kuala Krai here are still warded at four hospitals in Kelantan.
Maahad Tahfiz Al-Hashimi principal Mohd Azam Tarmizi said the students were identified as Ahmad Shakir Azfar Abdul Rahm,16, Muhammad Faiz Hafizuddin Mohamad Izahir,17, and Muhammad Nur Haikal Fauzi, 14.
The teacher was identified as Muhamad Hamzi Muhammad Husham, 24.
Azam said Shakir is warded at Kuala Krai hospital, Faiz at Universiti Sains Malaysia hospital in Kubang Kerian, Haifal at Raja Perempuan Zainab II hospital in Kota Baru, and Hamzi at Machang hospital.
“Haikal is conscious but traumatised. The rest are still in critical condition and in a coma.” he said.
Azam said two of the three individuals are scheduled to undergo an operation today.
Seven religious students were killed and another seven injured after the van they were travelling in crashed into a house at Kampung Telekong on Friday.
The 14, including two teachers, were on their way to a Quran recital programme here when the crash occurred at about 9.30am.
