Four killed, six injured in two accidents on KL-Seremban highway

KUALA LUMPUR: Four people were killed and six others injured in two separate accidents along the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway near here yesterday.

In the first incident which occurred at Km302 of the highway at 2.20am, two motorcyclists who collided with each other were thrown off their vehicles and died at the scene.

The deceased, aged 16 and 26, sustained head and bodily injuries, and their remains were sent to the Serdang Hospital.

In the second incident, which occurred about nine minutes later at Km301.5 of the highway, a collision between a car and seven motorcycles killed two and injured six others.

Kajang police chief ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the incident occurred when a rider on a Yamaha 135LC crashed into the rear of a Perodua Axia, causing the driver to lose control of his vehicle.

“The collision caused the car to spin, before six other motorcycles collided with it,” he added.

The Yamaha 135LC rider died at the scene, while another rider succumbed to head and bodily injuries while undergoing treatment at the Serdang Hospital.

Five other riders were injured, while the car driver sustained neck injuries. They received treatment at the same hospital. -- Bernama
