Woman killed in Ulu Yam accident

SELAYANG: A woman was killed when she lost control of her motorcycle at Km18 Jalan Sungai Tua in Ulu Yam, here, at 8am this morning.

Hotel worker Rozaina Che Ismail, 37, who suffered severe head injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Selangor Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Superintendent Azman Shari’at said a distress call was received at 8.45am.

“A witness informed police that a woman was lying on the roadside next to her Yamaha Ego motorcycle,” he said.

“Initial investigations showed that the victim was travelling alone from Hulu Selangor to her workplace in Selayang.

“She lost control of her vehicle at a bend on the road and was flung off her motorcycle before she hit the road divider.

“Inspections at the scene did not find skid marks or wreckage of other vehicles.

“Her body was sent to Selayang Hospital for a post-mortem.”
