RMAF cadet pilots can look forward to getting 'wings' earlier

ALOR SETAR: Royal Malaysian Air Force cadet pilots can now look forward to getting their “wings” earlier.

RMAF chief Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang said this has been made possible with RMAF and Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) introducing a new study concept called 2u2i where they (cadets) could complete their pilot training course by age 23 as compared to the average age of 26 now.

He was speaking to reporters after the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the collaboration between the two parties here today.

RMAF was represented by Affendi while UPNM by its Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen Datuk Abdul Halim Jalal. – BERNAMA
