KUALA LUMPUR: The Johor flag will be flown at half mast today out of respect for the passing of Brunei's Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim.
The directive was issued by State Deputy Secretary (management) Datuk Mohd Noh Ibrahim in a statement yesterday.
Radio Televisyen Brunei reported the 38-year-old prince breathed his last at 10.08am local time yesterday and was laid to rest at the Brunei Royal Mausoleum after Asar prayers.
The cause of his death however was not stated.
Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim, the second born prince of Brunei's Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah was born in Bandar Seri Begawan on July 29, 1982.
Residents of Brunei and those in the country are required to fly the national flag at half-mast and begin a seven-day mourning period, according to a statement from the Brunei's Sultan's office.
