KUALA LUMPUR: The Enforced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in place in several areas in Pahang and Sabah will end soon following a marked decline in Covid-19 cases in the localities.
In Pahang, the areas involve Bandar Triang in Bera as well as three sub-districts in Lipis.
In Sabah, the areas are Taman Seri Ketiau and Taman Desa Seri Ketiau in Putatan, and Kampung Sungai Imam in Tawau,Sabah.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the EMCO at these localities will end tomorrow.
"After an assessment, the Health Ministry has concluded that Covid-19 clusters in these areas are now under control.
"The Covid-19 positive cases have been isolated and are under monitoring for 14 days at the Low-Risk Quarantine and Treatment Centre," he said in a statement today.
