Tiong wades through floodwaters to help victims in Bintulu

KUALA LUMPUR: Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing led by example in the face of devastating floods in Bintulu, personally wading through floodwaters to assist affected residents.

The Bintulu member of parliament shared photos of the affected areas on Facebook.

Dressed in a T-shirt, shorts, slippers, and a raincoat, Tiong offered support and assistance to those in need.

"In this difficult time, let's support and help each other.

"My team, as well as all relevant agencies, will do our best to assist everyone. Stay strong, all my dearest friends.

"I know it's tough. Hang in there," he wrote on his Facebook page.
