Guan Eng criticised for avoiding questions

GEORGE TOWN: Penang Barisan Nasional criticised Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for avoiding pertinent questions raised on the controversial undersea tunnel project.

State BN chairman Teng Chang Yeow said that Lim’s statement to the media to ‘let the court decide the truth’ is an act of avoidance.

“He must answer to the questions raised, not avoid it if he adheres to the principle of competency, accountancy and transparency,” he said in a statement.

Teng had said Lim made contradictory statements on four occasions about the controversial projects.

The issues were on the non payment for the tunnel project, cost of the environmental impact assessment report for the three paired roads project and matters concerning land.
