Ahmad Faizal arrives for audience with Perak Sultan

IPOH: Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu has arrived at the Istana Kinta here to seek an audience with the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.

The Perak Menteri Besar arrived at the palace in his grey Toyota Camry at 9.10am.

Yesterday, Ahmad Faizal said an agreement to form a new state government had been reached following discussions between Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), Umno and Pas.

This came after two assemblymen – Datuk Abdul Yunus Jamhari (Kuala Kurau-PKR) and Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi (Tualang Sekah-Independent) – joined Bersatu.

The new Perikatan Nasional coalition consists of 25 Umno assemblymen, three Pas assemblymen and four Bersatu assemblymen.
