Parti Warisan not forming new Sabah government

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan (Warisan) will remain as an opposition party, said its information chief Datuk Awang Ahmad Sah Awang Sahari.

"Lately, many have voiced their views that Warisan, in the context of a government, will replace the (Sabah) government which was said to fall at any time.

"I would like to emphasise here that Warisan did not negotiate nor discuss with any political parties including Umno to form a new Sabah government," he said in a statement.

Awang, who is Petagas assemblyman, said among those who made comments about the issue were bloggers and political analysts.

He added that the party would only focus on the fights for the benefit of Sabah people and Malaysia citizens.

"It is to put the function of the government in the right lane and fulfil the Malaysia Agreement 1963, as well as eliminating corruption.

"Warisan is committed to this fight and will continue to work hard to better understand the people."
