KOTA BARU: Pas will not hesitate to take action against members who failed to support party candidates in the upcoming state elections.
Party deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said among the actions to be taken included membership suspension.
However, he believed party members would toe the line as all of them were loyal members.
"Pas will not compromise with members who refuse to support our candidates in the coming battle.
"We will not allow this act to destroy the unity of our ummah. Therefore, all members should support our candidates," the Kubang Kerian MP said in a Press conference to announce of Kelantan Perikatan Nasional candidates for the Aug 12 state election last night.
PN last night announced the candidates for the 45 state seats in Kelantan in the upcoming state election.
It has retained 22 incumbents while offering 23 new faces as the Pas-led coalition was going all out to fend off the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional pact.
State PN chairman Datuk Ahmad Yakob said the candidates chosen were from various backgrounds including professionals, ulamas and corporate figures.
He added that they have been thoroughly screened by Pas syura council and state PN.
