KUALA BERANG: There will be no compromise for cabinet ministers involved in graft as they would be sacked on the spot, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
However, none of them were involved or implicated with corruption or corrupt practices since the unity government was formed and has been administering the country for eight months, he said.
"All unity government's cabinet ministers will be booted out and thrown in jail if they are found to be involved in corruption.
"They are constantly reminded about such a matter in every cabinet meeting; in fact the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has been asked to investigate if it has received any report that there are ministers involved in corruption," he said when speaking during the Jelajah Perpaduan Madani ceramah at Kuala Telemong here last night (August 9).
Also present were Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates for the state seats of Telemong, Datuk Rozi Mamat and Kuala Berang, Jalaludin Ismail.
Meanwhile Anwar, who is also finance minister, said Perikatan Nasional (PN) had been told to wait until the 16th General Election (GE16) to change the federal government.
"The PN's top leadership must exercise patience and wait until GE16 to change the government.
"(Even) if the election results from the elections in the six states are not in favour of candidates from the unity government, it will not change the federal government," he said.
