[Unofficial] Kedah polls: Two seats secured by Gerakan, says party president

SHAH ALAM: Gerakan president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau who just arrived at Concorde Hotel said unofficial results obtained so far have given the party two wins in Kedah.

Lau declared that out of the 36 seats contested, Gerakan, under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) ticket, has won the Bakar Arang and Kulim state seats, both in Kedah.

"So far we have won these two seats and we are happy that we managed to break the past election results.

"However I prefer to wait for the official results before I confirm the number of seats won," he said.

When asked about his defeat, Lau said he takes it in stride and congratulated the winner of the Bayan Lepas seat in Penang, Azrul Mahahtir Aziz (PH).

Unofficially Tai Kuang Tee (Gerakan) won Bakar Arang and Wong Chia Zhen (Gerakan) won the Kulim state seats in Kedah.
