Olympian Wendy advises diver Bertrand to enjoy Paris experience

KUALA LUMPUR: Olympian diver Wendy Ng, who announced her retirement in April, hopes Bertrand Rhodict Lises will not put too much pressure on himself when he makes his Olympic debut at the Paris Games.

Bertrand is Malaysia's sole representative in Paris and will compete in the individual 10m platform after qualifying on merit through the World Championships in Japan last year.

"I wish him all the best. I want him to enjoy himself. I have been to the Olympics three times, so I hope Bertrand won't forget to have fun (while competing)," Wendy, who competed at London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, told the media at the launch of Tiga Saga Li-Ning Cup here, on Friday.

Wendy is now busy completing her master's degree in nutrition. She is also a part-time swimming and diving coach.
