#Showbiz: K-Pop giant EXO brought the roof down at Axiata Arena

KUALA LUMPUR: EXO never fails to pull in thousands-strong crowd no matter in which country it performs.

It was proven yet again tonight at Axiata Arena here in Bukit Jalil where the K-Pop boy group held its third Malaysian concert to date.

Around 15,000 fans filled up the indoor stadium to see their favourite artistes perform live as part of EXO’s fourth world tour, Exo Planet #4 EℓyXiOn.

Even though the group was missing a member, EXO managed to bring the roof down with its skilful choreography performances and excellent vocals.

Eight of its nine members, Suho, Xiumin, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun heated up the stage performing 30 songs.

They entertained the crowd with classics such as Growl, Angel, Lotto and Call Me Baby; as well as newer hits such as Ko Ko Bop, The Eve, Boomerang and Power.

“It’s been a while since we last came, but it felt just like yesterday,” said Suho to the screaming crowd.

“It’s a pity that the concert in Malaysia only takes place on one night,” he said.

For certain countries, EXO has held two or three consecutive shows.

“Don’t worry about it too much because we will come back with a new album very soon.

“Next time, we hope to come and perform for two or three concerts here. We will come back better and stronger.”

EXO first performed here in 2016, and again the following year.

Kuala Lumpur marks the boys’ last stop for the EℓyXiOn world tour before their encore concert in Seoul, later this month.

The group’s ninth member, Chinese national Lay, has been working on his solo projects in China and therefore was not able to be part of the tour.

EXO Planet #4 EℓyXiOn In Kuala Lumpur is brought by Star Planet.
