TAMBUN: There was a carnival-like atmosphere at the Dewan Sri Kledang nomination centre here as Tambun parliamentary candidates began filing their papers.
Supporters cheered from time to time and there was even the cry of the 'takbir'.
At 8.45am, the number of Pakatan Harapan (PH), Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) supporters grew, but their movement was limited as police put up barriers 100 metres from the nomination centre.
There were around 100 policemen in the area.
The parliamentary constituency may see a five-cornered fight. The contenders include PKR supremo Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, BN's Datuk Aminuddin Md Hanafiah, PN's Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu and Gerakan Tanah Air's Abdul Rahim Tahir.
