Kedah to battle Perak for FA Cup crown

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah will play Perak in the final of the FA Cup on July 27.

On Sunday, Kedah, who won 1-0 in the first leg, were given a scare by Felda United in the semi-final return leg in Jengka before prevailing on away goals

Felda won the return leg 3-2.

Aidil Sharin Sahak's side took the lead when Fernando Rodriguez scored from the penalty spot in the 26th minute.

The four-time champions doubled their lead 11 minutes later through Farhan Roslan.

But Felda fought back after the breather with Brazil defender Thiago Junio netting in the 65th minute.

S. Chanturu then equalised in the 71st minute.

A confident Felda were aggressive in the hope of scoring more goals and were rewarded when Hadin Azman netted in the third minute of stoppage time.

However, it was not enough for them to qualify for the final.
