Curran retires, slams Musa

KUALA LUMPUR: After receiving his salary compensation from Melaka United, midfielder Curran Singh Ferns announced his retirement from the game on his Instagram page yesterday.

Ferns received RM97,500 in compensation from his former team on Wednesday.

However, in his post, an angry Ferns also slammed the Melaka United Soccer Association (Musa) for the delay in settling his arrears and wants them to apologise to the Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) and the players for all the troubles.

"I hope this will be a lesson for every team. I will now officially announce my retirement from professional football," said Curran.

Another former player, Narupon Wild has yet to receive RM241,726.69 in salary owing from Musa, who have settled other debts.
