Wilkin, Darren laud new Harimau jersey, captain Cools expected more

KUALA LUMPUR: After their 2-1 win over Negri Sembilan in Saturday's Super League match in Paroi, Sabah stars Stuart Wilkin and Darren Lok got an exclusive first look at the latest Harimau Malaya jersey.

In an interview with the FA of Malaysia (FAM), the national players inspected the design and praised Puma's Ultraweave technology.

"Nice material. It's very light up close. I like the detailing. The badge is nicely stitched. It's light, and it's going to do the job," said Stuart.

Darren echoed his teammate's sentiments, calling the jersey "very nice."

However, Harimau Malaya captain Dion Cools offered a less enthusiastic review. "Personally, I hoped for a better jersey. But overall, it's black and white, symbolising Malaysian colours. I think everyone was expecting something different," he said.

FAM and Puma recently announced a landmark four-year partnership at the unveiling event.

The new home and away kits are inspired by Malaysia's iconic national colours of yellow and black, representing pride and resilience.

The home jersey is currently available in stores for RM319, while the black away kit will hit shelves in May.
