Asian Games: Medal Tally as of 5pm, Sept 26 — Malaysia win first medals in Hangzhou

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian contingent finally won their first medals at the Hangzhou Asian Games on Tuesday.

Malaysia won one silver and four bronze medals.

Former world wushu champion Tan Cheong Min secured the women's Nanquan-Nandao silver, finishing behind China's Chen Huiying, while Uzbekistani Darya Latisheva settled for the silver.

Malaysia added bronze medals in track cycling and sailing.

China still lead the medal standings with 44 gold, 22 silver and nine bronze, followed by South Korea (11-12-16) and Japan (6-16-12).
