TWO uncovered manholes on a pedestrian walkway in Jalan Bahagia, Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya, are causing anxiety to users, who describe the situation as dangerous.
A resident, Tony, told Actionline that the exposed manholes were hazardous to pedestrians, especially the elderly.
“They may not be able to see that the covers are missing and fall into them.
“The situation has been left unchecked for weeks.
“I hope the Petaling Jaya City Council can put the covers as soon as possible before someone falls into them.”
ACTIONLINE:
Petaling Jaya City Council public relations officer Zainun Zakaria said the council was aware of the situation and apologised for any inconvenience.
“We have instructed the contractor to put the missing covers and the matter has been resolved.”
