A resident, who has been living in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur for the past 10 years complained to Actionline about the crow menace that the Lucky Garden residents have been facing for years.
Mohd Salleh Akram Shah, 35, said most of the residents, who parked their vehicles in commercial areas, faced this problem as their vehicles would be covered with crow droppings.
He also said the noise made by the crows every evening was a nuisance to residents.
ACTIONLINE:
A City Hall spokesman said a crow-shooting operation was conducted weekly.
“There is a schedule for the shooting operation as the officers involved need to have a permit.”
He said the residents should also play a role to reduce the number of crows in that area.
“Residents and business operators should make sure their residences are clean.
“They should not throw rubbish as that attracts more crows.”
He also said the Health Department would conduct an inspection to get to the root of the problem.
