KUALA LUMPUR: MSM Malaysia Holdings returned to the black with a pre-tax profit of RM39.56 million in the first quarter ended March 31, 2017 compared with a pre-tax loss of RM60.56 million recorded in the same period a year ago.
Revenue rose to RM648.97 million versus RM553.16 million due to improved selling price and higher volume of refined sugar sold in the domestic market, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.
Moving forward, the group expected to perform better in line with the industry. -- Bernama
