KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Bank Bhd (AffinBank) and Affin Islamic Bank Bhd (Affin Islamic) have launched the AffinBank and Affin Islamic Visa Debit Card – a multifunctional card which combines the features and benefits of an ATM and a debit card.
AffinBank chief executive officer and managing director Kamarul Ariffin Mohd Jamil said the card enables customers to enjoy the convenience of using a single card for cash withdrawals and cashless transactions at all retailers that accept Visa, both locally and abroad.
"We believe this introduction is great news for many Malaysians as these benefits provide some returns, which will be helpful in view of the current economic situation," he said at the launch of the AffinBank and Affin Islamic Visa Debit Card at the Jakel Mall in Kuala Lumpur today.
Kamarul Ariffin added that the initiative is in line with the company's "Affinity Transformation Programme" which the bank is currently undergoing.
"We aim to offer more innovative products and services to enhance customers’ experience," he said.
Meanwhile, AffinBank also introduced its first point-based loyalty programme – Affin Rewards – where customers can earn one point for every RM1 spent with their AffinBank credit card; and three points for every RM10 purchased using their AffinBank or Affin Islamic debit card.
Through the points collected, customers can choose to redeem various items such as shopping vouchers, electrical appliances and many more via AffinBank's website, http://rewards.affinbank.com.my.
In conjunction with the launch, customers can collect up to 20 times the points by spending with their cards at selected Jakel outlets.
Additionally, attractive gifts and vouchers will be up for grabs during the promotional period from June 11 till Aug 31, 2017.
All AffinBank and Affin Islamic ATM card holders are required to visit their nearest branches to change to the new Visa debit card.
