KUALA LUMPUR: AIG Malaysia will be offering travel insurance plans to customers in the biggest markdown sale of the year, the Lazada Online Revolution.
It will do this in cooperation with Lazada’s partners, MedKlinn Malaysia and Universal Traveller.
The Lazada Online Revolution kicks-off on Saturday and runs through to 12 December 2017. This is the first time AIG Malaysia is participating in such an online sale.
Lazada has also brought on board its partners, MedKlinn Malaysia, a leading air and surface sterilizer manufacturer, and Universal Traveller, a leading winter wear brand in Southeast Asia.
Those purchasing products from MedKlinn and Universal Traveller will be offered access to travel insurance products offered by AIG Malaysia.
AIG Malaysia’s participation is aimed at generating awareness of the importance of travel insurance cover among consumers. It hopes to bring ease and convenience to consumers, by providing travel insurance solutions at consumers’ fingertips, so that they can get coverage with just a few clicks.
AIG Malaysia’s Chief Executive Officer, Antony Lee, said this is part of the company’s efforts in offering greater choices to Malaysian consumers, leveraging e-commerce and the various channels available to attract different segments.
“We want to break the mindset of consumers that travel insurance can only be bought through the insurer. As innovators and a thought leader in the industry, we want to make it easier, faster and more convenient for consumers to purchase travel insurance through a leading e-commerce platform,” he added.
