KUALA LUMPUR: PETRONAS Lubricants Marketing Malaysia (PLMM) Sdn Bhd aims to sell 4,800 barrels of various lubricant products throughout the year to commercial vehicle manufacturing companies as well as manufacturing industries at Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) in Pengerang, Kota Tinggi.
Managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Ibrahimnudin Mohd Yunus said PLMM, a subsidiary of Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB), has set the target following the the launch of a 3,500-square-foot warehouse located in the building owned by Koperasi Pemuda Patriot Pengerang Kota Tinggi Bhd (KOPETRI).
He said the joint venture project is aimed to strengthen the sale of Petronas lubricants in the district, especially involving Petronas Urania 3000 lubricating oil products.
"The partnership indirectly enables KOPETRI, who has been a major trading partner since July 2017, to supply all lubricating oils for commercial vehicle manufacturing and manufacturing industries at PIC.
"At the same time, Petronas has supplied about 400 barrels of various lubricants under the Petronas Urania 3000 brand within a month," he said at the opening ceremony of Petronas KOPETRI Lubricant Oil Operation and Storage Center at Kampung Bukit Raja, Kota Tinggi today.
Also present was State Public Works Committee chairman, Datuk Ir Hasni Mohammad, who is also the official representative of Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Tanjung Surat State Assemblyman Datuk Ir Syed Sis Syed A Rahman.
Mohd Ibrahimnudin said the joint project is to strengthen the sale of lubricants in the district especially involving 125 hydraulic, grease and gear oil products under the Petronas Urania 3000 brand.
"KOPETRI, which is also a member of the 15 co-operative board of directors from the community of young people around the PIC project, was appointed as the authorised distributor and supplier of PLMM from July last year.
"The official opening of the warehouse is to strengthen the sale of lubricants in the district and at the same time open job opportunities to the population within the area," he said.
