JF Technology, US' Ironwood to cross-sell products

KUALA LUMPUR: JF Technology Bhd and US-based Ironwood Electronics Inc have signed a cross-distribution agreement.

Under the deal, JF Technology will use Ironwood's contact assembly cartridges.

Ironwood will use JFTechnology's high performance contact pins, both cantilever and rigid, within its contact assembly cartridges and test sockets.

Ironwood, a leader in bench top laboratory and characterisation test sockets, will bring high insertion count variants of its high-performance test technology to the ATE (automated test equipment) marketplace.

Based in Minnesota, it is part of HEICO Corp and listed on the New York Stock Exchange with a market capitalisation of more than US$28 billion.

In a joint statement, the companies said they will continue to sell their own products worldwide, but will now also have the right to sell each other's products.

Ironwood will be focusing on the US and Europe and JF Technology focusing on Asia.

JF Technology managing director Datuk Foong Wei Kuong said it sees strong synergies from the collaboration.

"Together, we will be leveraging on each other's strong expertise and established network to further expand our geographical presence."

Ironwood chief executive officer David Struyk said the agreement aligns perfectly with its entry into the ATE market.
