MAPEX 2018 targeting RM500 million in sales

PETALING JAYA: Real Estate & Housing Developers' Association Malaysia (REHDA) is targeting sales of RM500 million for this year’s Malaysia Property Expo (MAPEX 2018), up from the estimated RM300 million last year.

MAPEX committee chairman and REHDA patron Datuk Ng Seing Liong said the target is achievable as almost all the 60 property developers that are participating will offer their best price possible.

“We have currently confirm the participation of as many as 40 property developers for this year’s expo and we are expecting that the number will grow as we draw nearer to MAPEX 2018,” he said here, yesterday.

He shared that household names like IJM Land Bhd, Glomac Bhd dan Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd had confirmed their participation.

Besides property developers, MAPEX 2018 will also see the participation of financial institutions as well as government bodies and agencies.

“As a one stop destination for real estate, MAPEX 2018 will also feature industry players like Jabatan Perumahan Negara dan Tribunal Pengurusan Perumahan dan Strata (TPPS), Institusi Kewangan Perumahan Sektor Awam (LPPSA), Rumah Wilayah Persekutuan (RUMAWIP) dan Rumah Selangorku,” said Ng.

The expo will also feature all kinds of real estates ranging for strata developments, commercial developments and landed homes.

To attract the crowd, MAPEX 2018 will host a number of interactive events such as discussions with real estate experts, a blood donation drive and even cash prizes.

“Fifteen lucky homebuyers will be able to win cash prizes amounting to RM30,000 each, for every property purchase at MAPEX 2018,” said Ng.

MAPEX 2018 will be held at the Midvalley Exhibition Hall from 27 to 29 April. It is open to public from 10am to 9pm.

Entrance is free.
