Jurunature going all out to provide oil and gas asset protection systems

KUALA LUMPUR: Jurunature Sdn Bhd, an oil and gas (O&G) services provider, will be introducing a new technology that enables industry players to protect their O&G assets from corrosion, rust and other extreme weather conditions.

Chairman Dr Farid Ravi Abdullah said the company's high density dry ice technology can provide a diverse range of surface protection by blasting O&G structures without shutting down of facilities and halting production.

"This innovative technology, which was introduced in Europe in 2016, is much sought after by major O&G corporations worldwide. Jurunature is well positioned to introduce regionally the use of this technology to potential clients.

"Other than O&G, the technolgy can also be utilised in the petrochemical, marine and construction industries and added advantages include environmental friendliness with no salt residue, improved efficiency, cost savings and minimum wastage during blasting," Farid told NST Business recently.

Jurunature, a specialist painting services provider, together with its partners Dry Ice Global of Scotland and Acotec NV from Belgium are showcasing the product to the industry under the brand name Humidur which is a maintenance and solvent free high quality protective single coating solution to complement the dry ice technology.

Jurunature will use the world’s first mobile high-density dry ice production system and single coat protective coating which offers warranty up to 30 years and the technology is able to access submerged areas with no divers required and perfect for pipeline, offshore and marine structures and ballast tanks.

"Jurunature is in an excellent position to offer the state of the art technologies to the petrochemical industry’s onshore and offshore assets, major sewerage cleaning works, naval defence, marine police assets and one of its target clients is Petronas's Refinery And Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) in Pengerang which is developing world class facilities.

Farid said some of the users of this technology are Shell, ExxonMobil, Woodside, Statoil, BP, Marathon, Talisman Energy, Total, Texaco, Sinopec, Conoco Phillips, Chevron, Technip ad Maersk.

Jurunature had also signed a collaboration agreement with Woodsol Chemicals Sdn Bhd, a regional player in the field of water treatment and protection to use and provide Jurunature’s asset protection solutions, namely the dry ice blasting and Humidur's specialist coating services to Woodsol Chemicals’ existing and future clientele in this region.
