PETALING JAYA: National automaker Proton Holdings Bhd (Proton) will be accepting online booking for the Proton X70, the new sports utility vehicle (SUV) model which will be officially launched soon.
Proton Edar chief executive officer Abdul Rashid Musa said customers can obtain information on the X70's latest technology, view the model variant and make booking deposit payment at all Proton's 3S and 4S branches nationwide starting on October 17.
Apart from on site booking, customers can also book online at www.proton.com.my.
"We want to make it as easy for customers to buy the Proton X70 and we will also organise three days of exciting promotion from the launch date and offer special prizes for booking customers," he said during Proton X70 second preview with the media.
Today's media preview was on the vehicle's Integrated Cockpit Information System (GKUI).
The GKUI offers a variety of user functions through apps as well as the option of staying in touch with other vehicles via mobile phones.
Abdul Rashid said it is also the first Proton model that uses voice recognition technology to enable and access available applications.
The ESIM card in the GKUI system is loaded with five applications, offering services such as radio and online music, navigation, weather forecasts and voice recognition.
Access to apps and other functions is via the 8-inch Android-based 1280 x 720 full color touchscreen display that comes with 16 gigabyte of internal memory space.
The system also has wifi connection to enable the X70 to used as a portable hotspot.
