KUALA LUMPUR: Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd’s net profit improved to RM34.21 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2018 from RM32.58 million in the same period last year.
Revenue, however, decreased 8.8 per cent to RM257.05 million from RM281.83 million previously, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
Dutch Lady said volume (in kilogrammes) grew three per cent in nine months to date and investment in strategic pricing to ensure affordability has led to 2.3 per cent revenue decline versus prior year.
On current prospects, the company expects the overall market to remain challenging following global and domestic uncertainties but would continue to put efforts to improve operational efficiency to stay agile and adapt to macro-economic headwinds.
