KUALA LUMPUR: Lee Zii Jia has announced the departure of another key member of TeamLZJ, with strength and conditioning coach Lim Joe Heang set to leave the professional outfit managing the world No. 6 men's singles shuttler.
The announcement was made via the team's official X account, formerly known as Twitter.
"A bond that will forever remain, as we bid farewell to two important members of the team. All the best, and may our paths cross again in the future. TeamLZJ 2024 signing off," read the statement.
Joe Heang has been an integral part of TeamLZJ since 2022 and has regularly been seen in Zii Jia's corner.
The Kedah-born shuttler first collaborated with Joe Heang during the 2017 Kuala Lumpur Sea Games, when the latter served as a performance analyst for the BA of Malaysia (BAM).
On Dec 6, coach Wong Tat Meng, 57, opted not to renew his contract, which expires at the end of the year.
His final assignment with Zii Jia was at the recently concluded World Tour Finals.
TeamLZJ have yet to announce replacements for both Tat Meng and Joe Heang.
Zii Jia will begin his 2025 campaign at the Malaysia Open, starting Jan 7.
