KUALA LUMPUR: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd’s (Kerjaya) unit, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award from HCK Builders Sdn Bhd to undertake the main building works for a proposed project worth RM280 million in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
The proposed project to be rebranded Edumetro comprised the construction of four towers on a three-storey podium and four-storey basement, Kerjaya said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
This follows the takeover of Remix 2 by HCK Builders as its new developer with the handover to its parent company, HCK Capital Group Bhd, by the original developer.
The construction works will take about 28 months from the scheduled commencement on April 1, 2019, and is targeted for completion by July 31, 2021.
HCK Capital through its subsidiary Aspen Entity Sdn Bhd had last month also awarded a RM155 million contract to Kerjaya for the construction of three blocks comprising 800 units of residential suites at Edusphere in Cyberjaya.
Kerjaya executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho said the new project expanded the group’s total contract wins for 2019 to RM435.0 million and total outstanding order book to some RM3.3 billion.
“The group will continue to work hard and execute our ongoing projects to deliver sustainable earnings and create value for our shareholders,” he said.
