Bank Muamalat HQ, Jalan Melaka branch to resume operations

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd (BMMB) will resume operations tomorrow at its headquarters and its Jalan Melaka Branch in Kuala Lumpur following the government's decision to lift the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) imposed in the Masjid India area, effective 3 May 2020.

In view of this, the bank's staff involved in providing essential services at BMMB's headquarters and the Jalan Melaka Branch will return to work at their respective premises.

Meanwhile, most of the staff employed at the two locations will continue to work from home in line with measures to counter the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Jalan Melaka Branch will open from 10am to 2pm on Monday to Friday while the Self Service Terminals (SSTs) at the branch will open from 6am to midnight daily.

Although its Jalan Melaka Branch will resume operations tomorrow, Bank Muamalat encourages its customers to use its online banking services, as the nationwide Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is still in place.

BMMB continues to take measures to safeguard the health and safety of its customers and workforce and would like to assure its customers that its business continues to operate as usual, with minimal disruptions, the bank said in a statement today.

The EMCO was imposed in Masjid India and its surrounding area since 14 April, 2020.
