KUALA LUMPUR: Samaiden Group Bhd has partnered with OpenSys Technologies Sdn Bhd to offer solar solutions referral via the former's buySolar renewable energy online platform.
Samaiden said it had signed a collaborative agreement with OpenSys Technologies to provide end-to-end services within the value chain of services for solar photovoltaic PV system and power plant projects to potential customers.
The end-to-end services include customising, designing and developing of schematic layout, procuring of equipment and materials, constructing, installing and integrating of the solar PV systems and/or power plants process.
Upon the completion of the construction phase, Samaiden will commission and test the solar panels to ensure that the equipment functions as a complete system in accordance with the detailed engineering design and specifications.
buySolar is Malaysia's first one-stop online marketplace for renewable energy with a focus on solar solutions and financing options.
Samaiden group managing director Ir Chow Pui Hee said this was a great opportunity for the company to expand its customer base through buySolar.
"It also benefits the customers as the platform provides a wider selection of solar energy engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) providers, like us, to help them tailor their requirements to match their needs," he said in a statement today.
Chow said the collaboration with OpenSys would spur the renewable energy market forward by blending the company's knowledge and expertise with the referrals provided by OpenSys Technologies.
"Thus, we can jointly work to accelerate the growth of the renewable energy sector to achieve the 20 per cent renewable energy capacity mix by 2025," he added.
Being listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on October 15 this year, Samaiden has an extensive track record of solar rooftop systems, as well as large scale solar projects.
The company recently announced its successful venture into the development of biogas and biomass power plants.
OpenSys chief operating officer Luke Sebastian said the partnership would be able to effectively broaden its reach to potential customers in the residential and commercial segments nationwide.
"We believe in providing interested parties with the luxury of choice amongst tried-and-tested players, and who are able to deliver solutions that can be adapted to their differing requirements and budgets," he added.
