KUALA LUMPUR: Information technology (IT) software and platform provider ARB Bhd is riding on the Internet of Things (IoT) business to deliver commendable future earnings to bring the group to new milestones.
ARB via its distribution division, has an extensive sales and distribution network of IoT products namely smartphone, tab, watch band, with close to 2,000 number of resellers and retailers, covering every major cities in Malaysia.
Executive director Datuk Sri Larry Liew Kok Leong said with the aim to be a leading player in the IoT landscape, the company's success will be contributed by its strong business relationship with joint venture business partners, principals, distributors and resellers.
"By leveraging on our existing network of about 2,000 resellers and retailers, we are also able to sell IoT products to the end users," he said in a statement today.
Larry said the group would continue to scout for cross-selling opportunities throughout its existing business networking.
"Our existing cloud solutions are reliable and useful for our partners to improve management efficiency and adapt to the changes of traditional business to digitisation which are very crucial to survive throughout this pandemic.
"ARB is always practising 'new norm' adaptation to new ventures such as upgrade to cloud solution instead of central based system," Larry said.
He said ARB has a vision to be the leading player in IoT segment in the region.
"The inevitable trend of IoT has been expedited by the Covid-19 pandemic, where many will have no choice but to adapt to a new paradigm shift.
"ARB intends to participate in this high-growth new business opportunities in Malaysia, by offering our cloud IoT solutions to the prospective customers" Larry said.
According to Global Data's survey on Malaysia's information, communication and technology (ICT) development prospects, the compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) will be 8.9 per cent between 2019 and 2023, from RM16.5 billion in 2018 to RM25.2 billion in 2023.
Data analysis, business process outsourcing, mobility, cloud computing and storage are expected to be the five leading ICT solution domains.
Based on the statistic and analysis prepared by Frost & Sullivan, Malaysian enterprise IoT market stood at US$2.2 billion in 2019 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 24.7 per cent to reach US$10.3 billion by 2026.
