GESB provides factory and process automation solutions as well as new technology system integrators to O&G clients in Malaysia that includes Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), Shell, Enquest Plc, Repsol S.A and Exxon Mobil.
Through this collaboration with GESB, Aimflex will develop and commission manufacturing execution system (MES) for production control and monitoring as well as develop and fabricate electrical systems, instrument and O&G and energy equipment.
The company will also provide industrial automation solutions to complete the supply chain as well as manufacturing facilities for GESB's projects such as sheet metal fabrication, precision part fabrication, assembly, and integration.
Aimflex managing director Rebecca Tee said the collaboration with GESB represents the first such collaboration in the O&G automation for the company and will broaden its customer base.
"We look forward to working with GESB in championing and advancing the adoption of automation in the O&G sector as automation and data management systems remain crucial in labour-intensive industries outside of the electric and electronic (E&E) sector," she said in a statement.
The MoU between Aimflex and GESB brings together the core competencies of the two parties in promoting the development of automation in the O&G sector through leveraging on their respective expertise and experience.
