KUALA LUMPUR: Main Market-listed Ageson Bhd won the 'Super Golden Bull' award in recognition of the company's strong earnings, operational agility and flexibility of its business divisions.
The award is also in recognition of Ageson's operating companies which have responded proactively to the new operating conditions caused by the pandemic.
Executive director Datuk Sri Chin Kok Foong said it is an honour to be recognised at this prestigious event despite the adverse situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic starting last year.
The Golden Bull Award is one of the country's first and most representative annual business awards, honouring the best of businesses in Malaysia by recognising their hard-earned success and outstanding achievements.
Organised by Business Media International (BMI), one of Asia's largest business-to-business (B2B) providers of business intelligence, analytics and growth partners, this annual event aims to serve as an effective platform to benchmark successful businesses, inspiring more businesses, both small and medium enterprises (SME) and corporates to strive for greater excellence.
It comprises three different categories, namely Emerging SMEs, Outstanding SMEs, and the coveted Super Golden Bull Award, categorised respectively according to annual turnover.
Executive Director Datuk Sri Larry Liew Kok Leong said the award recognition is a vote of confidence to the company, which has taken relentless, proactive measures to recover from the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown measures to contain the virus.
"We have successfully adapted and evolved our business model and strategies to survive and thrive amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, and we believe that Ageson could emulate this success and will continue to demonstrate strong growth going forward.
He said the award is an incredible testimony of the company's commitment to excellence.
"We will continue working closely with the industry players, stakeholders and potential collaboration partners to further expand our business operation with the aim to create shareholders' value to the company," Larry said.
