ParkCity Medical Centre named Malaysia's emerging hospital company for 2022

KUALA LUMPUR: ParkCity Medical Centre (PMC) has clinched Frost and Sullivan Best Practices Award for "2022 Malaysia Emerging Hospital Company of the Year".

PMC said this was attributed to its state-of-the-art healthcare and commitment of its top-notch medical professionals to uphold internationally-recognised standards in patient care during the pandemic.

"A testament to its ongoing quest for excellence, PMC, part of the Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care group, has won the award for the second time. Its previous win was in 2020," it said.

PMC chief executive officer Ch'ng Lin Ling said the hospital would not have been able to achieve the accolade without the significant efforts of its team of doctors and staff who continued to go beyond what's expected in patient care.

"We also take much pride in the trust placed in us by patients and other stakeholders to deliver healthcare services par excellence. To this end, we remain steadfast in our commitment to provide our best for the community around us," she said.

Ch'ng said PMC was developing its level five wards in the hospital and digital solutions were the hospital's primary focus to enhance efficiency and maintain high safety standards.

"Among other aspects, there will be smart televisions, artificial intelligence-enabled services for patient care," she said.

The Frost and Sullivan Best Practices Awards are awarded to best-in-class leaders and organizations for innovative achievements and superior performance in their respective industries.

Award recipients are identified through a comprehensive and independent evaluation process across two dimensions to distinguish best practices.

PMC is on its way to becoming a smart hospital which entails more digitalisation in keeping with the changing times.
