KUALA LUMPUR: BigPay has been selected by the Malaysian government to be one of the official e-wallet partners for the ePemula initiative.
Through ePemula, the government aims to advance Malaysia's digital ambitions and ensure digital inclusivity by encouraging cashless transactions.
With a RM300 million allocation from the Ministry of Finance, the initiative will help to accelerate post-Covid recovery and prosperity among youths and small and medium enterprises.
"We are honoured to be part of the ePemula initiative to encourage cashless payment by consumers and merchants, and at the same time aid the post-Covid recovery of Malaysia," BigPay co-founder and chief executive officer Salim Dhanani said.
"The pandemic has shown that digital payments are the way forward, and this is a fantastic accelerator to encourage young Malaysians to support local businesses and spend digitally."
On top of the RM150 stimulus, BigPay will reward its ePemula users with incredible offers with up to RM1,500 vouchers from airasia, airasia Academy, Zalora and more, and unlimited cashback from selected partnering merchants, powered by Pulse iD.
During the campaign period, three new users will stand a chance to win an iPhone 13 when they sign up for BigPay with the promo code 'PCEPEMULA'.
Additionally, 20 lucky users will stand to win 5,000 airasia reward points when they claim and spend their ePemula credit with BigPay.
Besides that, BigPay is the only e-wallet player part of ePemula that gives you a card that can be used at over 46 million merchants in Malaysia, both online and offline.
Users are encouraged to go through the simple sign-up process for the BigPay account and get their card as soon as possible to claim their RM150 from April 11 to June 1.
