KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Seng Consolidated Bhd's (HSC) subsidiary eMedAsia Sdn Bhd (eMedAsia) has partnered with MXM International Sdn Bhd (MISB) to provide eTravelSavers Covid-19 travel insurance cover to existing and potential plat users on eMedAsia platform.
The agreement will last for three years and is subject to renewal for another three years.
MISB will pay eMedAsia an agreed price for each customer who enrols in eTravelSavers through its platform, and eMedAsia will pay MISB an agreed fee for each Covid-19 medical screening sold via MISB's MediSavers platform.
Koperasi Persatuan Perubatan Malaysia (KPPM) chairman and eMedAsia director Dr Thirunavukarasu Rajoo said eMedAsia is here to help inbound and outbound travellers to manage all their travel requirements with ease and convenience.
"We got them covered from professional Covid-19 screenings at clinics, hotel, home or preferred location, virtual CLEADOC screening, Covid-19 insurance covers to general health diagnostic tests," he said in a statement.
With more than 23 years of experience, MISB is a company approved by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, appointed as a program manager that promotes healthcare membership programs.
MISB is also a member of the Malaysian Direct Distribution Association (MDDA) and has positioned itself as one of the major players in providing quality healthcare management and medical protection.
Meanwhile, eTravelSavers is a comprehensive Covid-19 travel insurance guaranteed to satisfy any immigration requirements, covering hospitalisation and benefits related to Covid-19.
Travellers will be able to receive immediate approval through an instant digital insurance certificate and policy sent through their email.
Dr Thirunavukarasu further said that more than 2,500 general practitioners (GP) registered with the Ministry of Health on board eMedAsia are ready to provide their professional services.
eMedAsia.com is easy to use and navigate, integrating and connecting the users to the GPs and service providers and vice versa.
Through the recent strategic partnerships, eMedAsia, a 60 per cent-owned subsidiary under HSC's healthcare arm HS Bio Group in partnership with KPPM, which is, in turn, the investment arm of the MMA (Malaysia Medical Association), aims to empower the travellers and public in transitioning to the Covid-19 endemic phase.
