KUALA LUMPUR: Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care's (RSDH) hospitals have achieved international gold standard accreditation from the global healthcare accreditation leader Joint Commission International (JCI).
RSDH said its Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) and Ara Damansara Medical Centre (ADMC), had passed the grueling assessment by JCI for the second time.
The gold seal of approval from JCI enables ADMC and SJMC to join the ranks of a select group of 994 hospitals in the global private healthcare sector and 17 in Malaysia committed to raising the bar in upholding high standards in patient care and safety.
RSDH group chief executive officer Peter Hong said the achievement was no small feat given the complexities of being assessed by JCI.
JCI is a leading independent authority in healthcare assessment that ensures quality of care remains a key priority for healthcare providers across the globe.
"I cannot be prouder of this accolade and am certain our hospitals will continue to excel in how they deliver their best to the communities they serve," Hong said.
JCI evaluated the hospitals using stringent criteria to objectively determine how each facility ranks in a variety of areas ranging from medical expertise, facilities management, staff qualifications, organisational governance and efforts to improve safety and quality of services.
Two other Ramsay Sime Darby hospitals in Indonesia, RS Premier Jatinegara and RS Premier Surabaya, acquired their JCI accreditation in October 2022.
