KUALA LUMPUR: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd, via wholly-owned Future Rock Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award from Tanjung Pinang Development Sdn Bhd (TPD) worth RM398 million.
It was for the construction of a temporary coastal protection structure for the proposed Seri Tanjung Pinang Phase 2B and 2C Development (STP2) at Tanjung Tokong in Penang.
Construction works were expected to start on April 10 for 36 months, the company said today.
"With the acceptance of LOA from TPD, our year-to-date contract win will amount to RM533.4 million with the latest contract awarded as well as the LOA from BBCC Development Sdn Bhd worth RM135.4 million that was announced on February 2, 2023," said Kerjaya Prospek chief executive officer and executive director Tee Eng Tiong.
With the latest contract, Kerjaya Prospek's order book stood at RM4.7 billion.
"We will continue to leverage our core competence to secure new projects in the near future and provide high-quality service to our clients," Tee said.
The company's construction division is primarily involved in the building of high-rise residential and commercial buildings for premium developer clients nationwide.
Kerjaya Prospek has also undertaken works for infrastructure projects in Malaysia since winning its maiden infrastructure project for reclamation works of the second phase of Seri Tanjung Pinang in 2016.
