Bosch records RM727 mil sales in 2022, maintains positive outlook for 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: Bosch Group's consolidated sales in Malaysia surged by 25 per cent year-on-year to RM727 million during the 2022 fiscal year.

Bosch Malaysia managing director Klaus Landhaeusser said the global technology and services supplier employed around 4,200 associates with nearly RM400 million investments in the country, as at Dec 31, 2022.

"In spite of a challenging year, Bosch delivered healthy growth in the Malaysian market and achieved some key wins thanks to our dedicated associates," he said in a statement today.

As for 2023, Klaus said Bosch Malaysia remains invested in the local market despite thethe continuous geopolitical and economic situation worldwide.

He said the company views these challenges as opportunities to rise as a brand that stands the test of time.

"Through our ongoing investments in our people and brand, we continue to make our stride in the country.

"As we prepare to open our new semiconductor facility in Penang in August and celebrate our 100th anniversary in Malaysia in November, we are poised to make an even greater impact," he said.

Globally, the Bosch Group's total sales grew by 12.0 per cent to €88.2 billion in 2022, following €78.7 billion the previous year (€1=RM4.88).

In the first quarter of 2023, the group saw its sales increase by 3.5 per cent despite the after-effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
