Accenture, Avanade named Microsoft 'Partner of the Year' for Malaysia, Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR: Dublin-based information technology services and consulting company Accenture and Avanade, a provider of digital, cloud and advisory services, has been named Microsoft Global Systems Integrator (SI) 2023 Partner of the Year for Malaysia and Singapore.

Both companies have received 17 additional accolades, marking the 18th time Accenture and Avanade received the Global SI Partner of the Year recognition from Microsoft.

"With a history of nearly 120 Partner of the Year awards in various technology and country categories, we have been instrumental in transforming client experiences by delivering cutting-edge solutions using Microsoft technologies," said Avanade in a statement.

Avanade, Accenture, and Microsoft have recently expanded their collaboration to assist organisations in harnessing the transformative potential of generative artificial intelligence (AI) powered by the cloud.

Through leveraging the Accenture Centre for Advanced AI and Avanade's AI Organisational Readiness Framework, which focuses on generative AI and large language models, the companies continue to enable clients to explore and experiment with safe and responsible innovation on a large scale.

In addition to the 2023 Global SI Partner of the Year award, Avanade and Accenture have also received several other notable recognitions, including Dynamics 365 Sales & Marketing Partner of the Year, Low Code Application Development Partner of the Year, Automotive, Mobility and Transportation Partner of the Year, Customer Experience Partner of the Year, and Country Partner of the Year accolades for Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, Greece, France, Portugal, and the UK.

Furthermore, Microsoft has honoured the companies with seven local awards, such as Azure Core: Cloud Infrastructure Partner of the Year in Denmark, GSI Growth Champion Partner of the Year in Finland, and Azure Data & AI Partner of the Year in the Asia Pacific region.

"The unique partnership among Avanade, Accenture, and Microsoft truly enables us to do what matters for our clients – building more resilience in a world of continuous change, empowering employees to embrace new ways of working, strengthening the customer experience, and now guiding them on their journey to an 'AI-first' world," said Avanade chief executive officer Pam Maynard.

She added that the achievement of being recognised as Microsoft's Global SI Partner of the Year for the 18th time is attributed to the expertise, experience, and insights of the company's global team, who continuously help clients overcome their most complex business challenges.

Meanwhile, Accenture Microsoft business group lead Chris Howarth said the companies are committed to driving change and delivering value through technology adoption.

"Over the past year, we have expanded our partnership with Microsoft by helping more clients transform their organisations through the adoption of data and AI, cloud, metaverse, sustainability, and other technologies," he said.
