KUALA LUMPUR: Computer Forms (Malaysia) Bhd (CFM) is in the final stages of negotiation with Thailand's Energy Absolute Public Company Limited (EAPCL) to solidify the launch and operation of Malaysia's pioneer EV project.
On September 26, 2022 CFM entered into a Heads of Agreement with EA Mobility Holding Co. Ltd. for the purpose of conducting business across Malaysia, including but not limited to selling, distribution, assembling and production of electric vehicles, transports and related accessories and infrastructures which shall include products known as E-bus, E-truck, E-ferry and electric vehicle charger via a new joint venture enterprise.
In a statement released today, CFM said its joint venture company with EAPCL, EA Malaysia, will be able to develop and maintain a fully electric transportation system in line with Malaysia's policy of reducing consumption of fossil fuels by 37 per cent before year 2040 and towards the goal of becoming a zero carbon emission society.
CFM's share price closed 2.86 per cent higher at 18 sen today.
