KUALA LUMPUR: KPJ Healthcare Bhd has welcomed its new president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan as he assumes office effective from today.
Chin took the helm from Norhaizam Mohammad, who was the officer in charge for the company since Sept 5 last year.
Norhaizam will continue her role as chief financial officer.
KPJ said Chin is an industry leader with over two decades at Johnson & Johnson, bringing with him a wealth of industry experience and an exemplary track record to drive the growth and transformation at KPJ Healthcare.
"I am confident, with his experience and building upon KPJ's solid foundation, Chin will be able advance further our efforts to redefine the healthcare ecosystem.
"I also would like to thank Puan Norhaizam for her contributions and commitment during her tenure as the OIC," said chairman Datuk Md Arif Mahmood.
Chin said he was committed to working closely with the board of directors and "KPJ Team" to deliver on its next phase of growth.
"Together, capitalising on the trends and opportunities, KPJ Healthcare plans to lead and shape the healthcare industry, while staying true to our commitment of delivering the best outcomes and experiences for our patients and customers.
"We plan to accelerate our digital and healthcare transformation journey to deliver further on our patients and customers centric holistic healthcare solutions and services. I also look forward to working with all stakeholders to enhance the group's image and value," he added.
KPJ also appointed Michael Leddin as chief strategy officer effective from Sept 4.
With over 25 years of diverse healthcare experience across multiple countries, Ledfin has held various roles namely as managing director of VAMED Healthcare Services Sdn Bhd and chief information officer of Prince Court Medical Centre.
