KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines Bhd, AirAsia Group and Batik Air Malaysia Sdn Bhd have extended a helping hand to MYAirline Sdn Bhd's passengers affected by flights suspension.
Malaysia Airlines' parent Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) said it is open to work with MYAirline to re-allocate passengers on its flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Langkawi and Bangkok.
"Malaysia Airlines invites the management of MYAirline to work together in re-allocating their passengers on our flights," MAG said in a statement.
Malaysia Airlines is offering up to 55 per cent discount on base fare on affected routes. MYAirline passegers would have to present their MYAirline tickets for travel up to Nov 2023.
Batik Air on the other hand is offering a special fixed one-way fares on selected routes from Kuala Lumpur.
The fares include Penang at RM129, Langkawi (RM159), Kuching (RM199) as well as Bangkok (Don Mueang International Airport) and Kota Kinabalu at RM299, one-way.
MYAirline's affected passengers are required to attach a copy of their MYAirline tickets and make booking through mya@batikair.com.my.
Batik Air's one-way special fares are available for travel up to Nov 30 and seats are subject to availability.

AirAsia is also offering 50 per cent discount on base fares to MYAirline passengers with confirmed flight bookings to and from Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Penang, Tawau and Kota Bharu.
The offer also includes Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu-Tawau as well as Bangkok (Don Mueang International Airport and Suvarnabhumi International Airport).
The discount is valid from today (Oct 12) until Nov 30.
AirAsia said affected passengers have to present their confirmed MYAirline flight bookings at AirAsia sales counters at KL Sentral, KLIA Terminal 2, Langkawi International Airport and Penang International Airport.
Passengers can also go to AirAsia sales counters at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (Kota Bharu), Kuching International Airport, Tawau Airport, Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
In Bangkok, passengers can show their flight tickets at AirAsia's sales counters at Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi International Airports.
AirAsia Aviation Group Ltd group chief executive officer Bo Lingam said the company is also considering to hire MYAirline's staff to join its Allstars family.
"We recognise the talent and experience of MYAirline's staff and would like to extend a helping hand."
"We're pleased to consider hiring eligible and qualified individuals from MYAirline who share our passion for the industry and are willing to contribute their skills and expertise to our team," Bo said in a statement.
MYAirline had earlier announced the suspension of its flight operations starting today due to financial pressures.
Business Times had first reported that the budget carrier is struggling financially as payments to its services providers were delayed and employees' salaries were not paid on time.
